"If you want to build a ship, don't drum up people together to collect wood and don't assign them tasks and work, but rather teach them to long for the endless immensity of the sea."
This sentence by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry describes nicely how we should handle our dreams if we want them to become true. Our ship is the music, music that takes the listener on a journey to faraway shores or into depth of the inner soul.
The basis of our work is our music project The Sea Change.
The name metaphoracly stands for great changes.
And that’s exactly what I See Music™ - ISM™ want's.
We want to change some general things in music:
The way music shall be created - on the basis of concrete concepts.
The way music shall be experianced - it should touch the audience.
We offer our masters of ship-building the possibility to design their own ships and assist them in shaping and colourizing. An essential matter for this is the general openness towards other forms of art: painting, photography, video etc.; they help us to launch our artistic dreams - they are the necessary foot of water underneath our keel.
Above all, we want to make our small contribution, so that music wins back a leading role in today’s society. Music is much more than just cheap entertainment. Music is the oldest and most common form of communication and for this it should be taken much more serious again. Music is a form of art and as such it can express many of our current problems much better than just words can do.
